Bexar County Commissioners award $40,000 grant to San Antonio Family Endeavors

San Antonio Family Endeavors was recently notified that they are recipient of $40,000 in Bexar County CDBG funding to be used for After School Programming in two SWISD locations, Elm Creek and Southwest Elementary Schools.



 



All of the dollars awarded will go directly to provide tuition assistance to elementary aged children from low to moderate income homes.  This will provide a safe, supervised, and fun place for kids to go every day after school until their parents return from work.   Children attending will have help with their homework, a healthy snack, games, sports, 4H, scout programs, and many other activities.
